About

I am an experienced business operator with 15 years in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), including valuable “sell-side” experience, having sold a business in 2021 to a publicly listed company.

I want to purchase a service or product business and care about growth, momentum, industry tailwinds, capital efficiency, and consistent profitability. This platform business would benefit from our team increasing sales and marketing efforts and improving operational excellence to scale up and generate growth.

I aim to preserve and build on the owner’s legacy over the long term.

    How food goes from the producer to your grocery store isn’t a concern for most shoppers. But there is an entire world of marketing, sales, regulations and merchandising at work every time you’re rung through the checkout.

    While this world of food distribution is a mystery to many, it’s where Jordan Rogers, the Founder of Lloyd-James Natural Food Sales & Marketing, thrives. He runs Canada’s first natural and plant-based food brokerage, and he’s breaking ground with his vision to put healthy food into shoppers’ baskets.

    Food brokerages’ work isn’t visible to consumers, but they play a vital role of the food distribution system by connecting many food producers with distributors. But the process isn’t as straightforward as it sounds when producers face obstacles like tough competition, red tape and regulations. However, brokerages can help producers make providing great food possible, and profitable, too.

    Feeling a hunger coming on for kosher munchies? By kosher I mean something we can eat that is not contaminated or loaded with gluten protein from wheat, rye, and barley. Well meet Jordan of Lloyd James the guy with a zeal for finding us wholesome foods, and a huge passion for marketing and research. Jordan has sourced out the best snacks for us – non GMO, vegan, dairy free, Gluten Free…you need it? he will find it.

    He named his company Lloyd James after the two men he admires the most. The men (his grandpa and dad) shaped the way he conducts business today because they were the role models everyone should be lucky to have – a grandfather whom raised his many children by working hard, having integrity, being loyal, and only taught by example – a father whom carried on the traditions he observed while growing up, he instilled those values in his son Jordan. It reflects in the way Jordan lives his business, he is a fountain of information, he keeps up with the latest everything!

    To ensure a fair and competitive marketplace for businesses selling plant-based foods intended to replace animal products such as meats, dairy, and eggs, by promoting policies and practices that improve conditions in the plant-based foods industry, and educating consumers about the benefits of plant-based foods.

    We aim to:

    Engage in education, public relations, and media outreach to increase visibility for plant-based foods and boost consumer acceptance;

    Eliminate policies and practices that place plant-based meats, milks, eggs, and butters at an economic disadvantage, such as labeling restrictions;

    Change the debate on important public policy issues such as the dietary guidelines.

    The Plant Based Foods Association will also use various legal strategies, often in collaboration with other organizations, to challenge policies and practices that undercut its members in the marketplace. The goal is to level the playing field for plant-based foods to compete fairly.
