The Cruise Industry has hit Victoria’s shores with multiple vessels and huge crowds of travelers. Destination Greater Victoria’s (@victoriavisitor) CEO Paul Nursey ICD.D says cruise commerce is good for local business but still only represents a slice of the large Island Tourism pie.

Honouring business, the lifeblood of our community. It was a privilege to celebrate with all of the hardworking and committed people at the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce Business Awards on Saturday night. Presenting the New Business of the Year award to Acclaim Celtic Dancers was emotional for me. It brought me back to the early days of H2 Accelerator, when everything seemed hard, and you wondered if you were crazy betting it all on your dream. Twenty-five years later, I can tell you that it was worth it all.
