We're really proud to have partnered with Moon Time Connections since we first launched in 2020 - starting with donating pads and tampons when we could as part of our giveback model. As both organizations grew, that partnership and impact also grew. We're honoured play a small part in this new initiative and to have the opportunity to support greater period equity for Northern Communities.
A huge news day for the Moon Time Connections team! This morning MTC announced it will be overseeing the distribution of $2.4 million of menstrual products to Indigenous Menstruators in the North from coast to coast to coast. Based on the early success of the Menstrual Equity Fund pilot, WAGE / FEGC has provided supplemental funding for Food Banks Canada | Banques alimentaires Canada to extend the reach of the pilot. Recognizing MTC's deep relationship with northern Community, Food Banks Canada engaged MTC to further extend the pilot to more northern communities. Thanks to this additional funding, MTC will be able to reach hundreds of thousands of northern menstruators with millions of period products. We're lucky to be working with 6 incredible Canadian organizations to provide northern menstruators with a variety of high-quality menstrual products. Chi-Miigwech to our distribution partners joni® 21st-Century Period Care™, Marlow, Aisle, Knix, GetOnly.Ca and Öko Créations. Menstrual rights are human rights. Together we look forward to making a difference in the lives of menstruators in the north across Turtle Island.
