Condo sales   up 1.5%, single-family homes up 3.7% from 2023. Chair Laurie Lidstone of the Victoria Real Estate Board notes stable pricing and increased inventory, fostering a balanced market for buyers and sellers. Active listings rise by 14%, offering more options. Single-family home benchmark at $1,284,600 (-0.9%), condos at $567,800 (+0.7%).     Latest Victoria BC Real Estate Market Update  April 2, 2024: Victoria's housing market in transition. 588 properties sold in March, 0.3% fewer than 2023 but 25.1%   from February. Condo sales   10.2%, single-family homes   1.8% from 2023. Chair Laurie Lidstone notes increased shopper interest yet stable sales. Inventory rises by 12%, promoting market health. Improved buyer confidence with more options. Single-family home benchmark at $1,279,300 (+1.7%), condos at $567,300 (+3.3%).     2023 Victoria Real Estate Recap 2023's Victoria real estate market witnessed 329 property sales in December, up 2.8% from 2022. Condo sales rose by 14.9%, and single-family home sales increased by 1.3%. The year-end total of 6,207 sales marked an 8.77% decrease from 2022. Victoria Real Estate Board notes a return to seasonal patterns, bringing predictability. Active listings dropped 19.4% in December but rose 26.3% from 2022.     Interest rates influence Victoria's real estate market. In October, 407 properties sold, a 15.2% dip from last year. Condo sales fell 7.2%, while single-family homes dropped 16.1%. Graden Sol, Chair of the Victoria Real Estate Board links this to uncertain interest rate hikes, causing buyers to postpone purchases. With 2,756 active listings, up 2.1% from September, buyers have more options. The benchmark value for single-family homes rose to $1,305,900, up 3.9% from last year.
