BCLC is the Province's gambling and entertainment company, whose funds generated through healthy play, go back to B.C.

About us

For 35 years, BCLC has been delivering exceptional entertainment to British Columbians by managing casino, lottery, bingo and sports betting. Thanks to our players, we’ve generated $28 billion for the Province of B.C. to support essential services such as healthcare, education and community programs. Our employees are in on the action too! Overall, BCLC staff spent more than 3,830 hours volunteering for local charities. Our employee-giving committees continue to organize events, silent auctions and draws to fundraise for important local causes selected by our people. We want everyone to enjoy gambling—and that means understanding how to play in a healthy way. We provide educational resources on how gambling works, and we help find support for those who need it.

Today, our Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging team, Executive leaders, B.C. government leaders, and many other Crowns gathered to kick off the Moose Hide Campaign—a nationwide movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians united in taking action to end violence against women and children. Nearly 200 employees joined the virtual event, supported by the Crown Agencies Secretariat, B.C. Government, and the all-Crowns DI&B Dialogue Network. This event provided a space to connect, share experiences, and raise awareness about gender-based violence. ‘I envision a future where violence against women and children is eliminated and where women, girls, gender-diverse individuals and children can live fulfilling and safe lives that they choose. For me, Moose Hide campaign is also about empowering men and boys to honour, respect, and uplift women and children.’ Patrick Davis, President and CEO of BCLC. The simplest way to participate in the campaign is to wear the moose hide pin. This gesture demonstrates your commitment to honoring, respecting, and protecting the women and children in your life and opposing gender-based and domestic violence. #MooseHideCampaignDay

Kudos to our dedicated team members for representing BCLC this week, meeting with municipal leaders to share our social purpose, and engaging in meaningful conversations about how BCLC can continue to benefit communities throughout B.C. 👏

Wrapping up a fun couple of days of engaging with municipal leaders in the Southern Interior region of BC with Leana Scordo and Sandra Newvine. We played trivia, we chatted community benefits, we shared our social purpose and we listened about how BCLC can help build and benefit communities. We also gave out some hyper local swag sourced from local businesses, including a female-owned body-products company in Pritchard, BC. Our feet may hurt - but we are all super energized by the amazing conversations and connections. Thanks for having us again this year, southern interior local government association!

We had the chance to celebrate a winner in his hometown of Kelowna last week! Greg’s $3 wager on a Powerbucks™ Wheel of Fortune Lucky Coins™ On Stage slot machine on March 22, 2024, at Chances Casino Kelowna, won him a stunning $1,485,994.62 jackpot! Our team traveled to celebrate Greg and hear his story. We embrace the opportunity to travel and celebrate winners in their communities because that’s where these fantastic stories should come alive! Big thanks to our incredible employees who made the trip and celebration successful and memorable!
